Course Summary:

Throughout the course, we will try to deal with the prophecy between history and literature - whether the books of the prophets before us in the Bible retain something of the prophetic activity that we think or would hope that at least the biblical literature can describe the characters as living and operating in political and historical contexts or whether we really read literature that is all On the Jewish religion and the Persian period onwards. This challenge of the course is complicated. We will have to see what can be said and cannot be said and how to deal with the complexity of prophetic literature and it opens today.
