The phenomenon of aggression exists, unfortunately, and increases over the years. Studies have always discussed the phenomenon and tried to find solutions to reduce and eliminate it. Aggression is a typical response to anger. Some believe that aggression is an urge to conceive as an urge to have sex, and others think that this is how we respond to frustration, disappointment and fear.
Types of aggression
Accidental Aggression: An action performed unintentionally. For example: when a child who wants to take a toy accidentally pushes his friend inadvertently. (Fredo, 1999)
Instrumental aggression: An action in which aggression is used as a means to an end. For example: when a child pushes his friend to push him away and grab a requested toy in front of him.
Hostile aggression: An action taken with intent to harm another. For example: when a child pushes his friend for no apparent reason and smiles when the child falls.
Reactive aggression: Aggression that arises as a function of a particular situation. For example: when many children go out into the yard together through a narrow opening, and they push and shove. (Schwartz, 1995)
